As soon as I get home, I check my emails and visit my apartment at Yoville. I log into my so called Cyberlife. I go to work at the Widget Factory. I log in at least twice a day to work so I can buy furniture to decorate my one bedroom apartment. Then, I do a virtual dance with friends, send them hotdogs or flowers for gifts and share jokes with one click of the mouse button. (at FaceBook).
My family is hooked on FB too. Me, mom and Micmic are members of the Kilusang Magbubukid ng Farm Town. We send each other trees (banana, apple, orange…) and farm animals (rabbits, horses, cows and pigs). On some lucky moments, our avatars get to chat online. Funny but our avatars looks so much alike too. Family of farmers? (ingon pa)
My sons are into farming too. (as well as into Yoville, Mafia Wars, and Restaurant City).
Advantage: My kids prefer to stay home over the weekends and spend time updating their farms and apartments and they ask me for virtual gifts (which does not cost me moolah, just one convenient finger tap and I make them smile)
Disadvantage: ADDICTING!
Yes, Facebook has consumed my nights with crazy diversions. I keep a list of the seeds that returns more earnings for my farm. I get excited to see new items sold at the Home Depot (i gotta have those). I enjoy giving gifts and receiving them. I do jobs for the Godfather (feeling Mafia Princess). And opened Maria’s at Restaurant City.
I have not stopped harvesting and planting, nor have I stopped re-decorating my little apartment at Yoville. (I have a routine to make sure I don’t miss my factory and farm work) I want to have the blue curtains. I want to own a mansion for Lupang Hinirang (my farm) . I want to grow my Mafia…always this constant wanting for more…
It never stops. The quench to outdo another farm, to out decorate another apartment, to outfight another mafia. It is diversion for me. It keeps me awake while watching or is it listening to TV. and I enjoy teasing the kids with my acquisitions. (bad lagi ko)
Chelo is right, she warned me about FB taking me away… I got reunited with people of my past and we have been reunited at a ‘friend list’ level. As my friends list grew, I found I spend more and more time getting updated with their life. (Catching up! Exchanging hellos) and visiting them on this virtual farms and communities.
What next? This has got to stop I realize. Sleeping past midnight to beat my 10 year old son’s score at Bejewelled is insane I know. (Fa-et)
Me thinking…what to do?
On the upside, however – I am happy that my family is into FB. I know where to find the kids. I know where to find mom and Micmic. and my former boss is now my neighbor sa Yoville. Oh yeah, I now keep a very busy Cyberlife but a “so so” real life. Pathetic me. =( Realizing I am off balance. (better late than never)

seriously, i know you know when is much too much. hehe. kaya mo yan, chi.

Hahahaha.. we are neighbors at Yoville. i want to buy a house.. but it’s 15000. other days i go to the widget factory to work. lingaw kaayo..except for my bad experience..

i’m amazed and fascinated, chi because FB just couldn’t get my attention. the only thing i’m happy about it is that i am reconnected with my old friends. but that’s just it. i’m happy for your, though. it’s nice to have some happy place in cyberspace. =)
i miss you.
it started that way for me. then mom joined and it seems she lives there all her waking hours. hehehe. i am slowly limiting my time to check fb na, every other day nalang. =) i miss a lot of people here. btw, nanganak na si liza. pag ka 24th of may. haven’t been in touch with her. hope she is alright.

pero yes like aileen nag reconnect ra ko wa ko gaduwa duwa, i get numerous invites. they want points and gifts. i tried yoville pero wa ko gadugay.

i dont know why, im still not addicted with FB…i suppose, i dont have enough time. and i avoid it like a plague too=) im only on it due to classmates, we have a group that we update one another regarding university work, other than that, i still burn my phonelines thus increasing phone bills with love ones=)

Tels, same feeling for me but frankly when you go to mafia and look at my bank account reaching $4M malipay ko (mubo ug kalipay no) tungod siguro kay sa tinuod wala man koy money so you get to hve a nice feeling naa ka money even sa facebook game lang. hehehehe.
daghan ko ug gihunahuna so i get to have sleepless nights intawon. when i work at the farm and get tired by midnight nindot gyud akong sleep….hehehehe.It is also de-stressing. unya mapractise sad akong spanish kay there are layers who speak spanish ug moconvrse ako so tubagtubag ko even with broken spanish.mainriga siguro sila kay queen beauty gud akong name. asa ka ana.
wala na lang ko niapil sa yoville uy kay dili na kaya…morag maabtan ko ani ug 5 in the morning.

hahaha! FB addict diay ka, chi? me too! but more on reconnecting with friends, like T. my friends keep goading me to join sororities and stuff, pero i’m scared kay basin di na gyud nuon ko ma-ibot sa computer. hahaha!

OMG! I didn’t realize there is so much more to FB than I thought. I have over 100 invitations that I haven’t even checked because I have no clue what they are. So if you sent me one and I didn’t respond, pasencya na ha! Maybe I’ll explore FB more one of these days–if the baby allows it, hehe!
BTW, thanks for letting Aileen (and maybe others) know that I have given birth. Dugay gyud ko nakabalik ug blog and I really felt bad not letting you and them know right away.
it ingenious how this game programmers at zynga did the design of these games. =) burag mga psychologist, kibalo unsa on pag capture sa ilang target players. i warn you not to even start exploring kay maka – addict gyud. =) chelo warned me before and i did not heed her call. bwehehe.
ayaw worry about not letting us know dayon nga nanganak na ka oi. mga understanding man mi. =)
